Stellar goes to the movies….. Fri 5th Sept

Apologies for the 1 week holiday – but to find some sun Stellar at the Movies had to flee the country.

But here we are, back with this week’s releases.

PICK OF THE WEEK:

The Multiplex – Look, Dave Calhoun gave it 5 stars for Time Out. So it can’t be that bad? Right? Well, ok, Peter Bradshaw has given it 2 stars for the Guardian, which may be a little closer to the truth. And what is it exactly that the British public love to hate about Keira? She doesn’t fall out of nightclubs with her boobs hanging out. She isn’t suffering from a drug additiction with a husband in the clammer (as far as we know). Oh well – if I’m going to promote a British director this week lets go for Saul Dibb, of Bullet Boy fame doing something a far step away from that earlier gritty film, rather than Guy Ritchie turning out another British gangster film. Here’s the cast of the Dutchess:

The Independent - Film and theatre lovers, Never Apologize, is Malcolm McDowell's stage show about director Lindsay Anderson. If you missed the films earlier limited London release here's a chance to try and see it again.
